For a personal progress project Sierra planned and hosted a garage sale/bake sale to help the poor people who are suffering in Haiti. With the help of many of the young women, and her parents, of course, she sent out announcements, gathered, organized, and priced donated items, baked cookies, brownies and muffins, and even slept outside on the front lawn the night before to stay with all the stuff they had laid out there. It was a big job!
And it was a big sale! There were so many people who came for the deals! And many were very generous when they knew that all proceeds were going to Haiti.
The bake sale was hoppin' too! For good reason - everything was delicious!
Everyone worked so hard, and had a great time while doing it!In the end Sierra collected $1,350 to be given to LDS Humanitarian Relief for Haiti! That is really wonderful! I know it will really help those people and that the Lord is grateful that our girls are doing what they can to help His children in need.
