We Met the Masters!

For our Young Women in Excellence evening this year we Met the Masters with an art themed evening.
We discussed how we are the artists and our lives are the masterpieces that we are creating fro all to see and appreciate. The daily decisions that we make are the individual brushstrokes work together to make who we are.

Remember all the empty silver frames from our New Beginnings back in February where we talked about being an example because being LDS is like walking around with a frame around you? Well, this time the frames were filled with pictures of things the girls have done this past year to be Examples of the Believers!

Sis. V. did a powerpoint where she talked about different Impressionist Artists, and how we can learn so much about what the artists love and care about by viewing their work, just like people can know we are disciples of Christ by the works they see us do.

Then we recognized the girls and leaders who are finishing goals for Personal Progress, and Sis. H. played a beautiful piece on the piano which was a value project for herself. (It was also her last requirement to receive her medallion!)

Each girl also set up a display to feature the works that they have each done individually this year toward their personal progress. It was fun to see everything! These girls have worked hard this year.

For dessert we had a cake that looked like a Monet painting!

What a colorful, wonderful, artful evening!
